A look at the Grand Teton multipurpose pathway system

Earlier this year, work was completed on a second section of the Grand Teton National Park multipurpose pathway, and public officials will hold a celebration Aug. 9 to mark the milestone. Bikers, inline skaters, joggers and others can now travel from park headquarters at Moose, Wyo. to Jackson via the pathway.

For park visitors unfamiliar with the pathway, here’s a look at some of the details on the rules and restrictions from park spokeswoman Jackie Skaggs. The video, posted by 22Local in 2009, when the first segment was set to open, offers a look at what the pathway system is like. Plans call for continuing expansion of the system to connect with additional pathways as funds become available.
