A skier who was rescued Saturday by members of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort ski patrol and evacuated by helicopter from a steep canyon in Grand Teton National Park is recovering from his injury, and hopes a video of the incident will help remind others to ski safely. Josh Tatman, 31, of Jackson, Wyo. was skiing alone at about 1 p.m. near the top of Endless Couloir in Granite Canyon. Rescuers recovered the bodies Thursday of two skiers who died in a backcountry avalanche in the mountains of Grand Teton National Park. Steve Romeo and Chris Onufer, both of Jackson, Wyo. had failed to return as expected Wednesday evening from their trip to Ranger Peak, in the northern Teton Range, according to Jackie Skaggs, spokeswoman for Grand Teton National Park. High winds and blowing snow left approximately 160 travelers stranded over the weekend near the south entrance of Yellowstone National Park and complicated efforts to find a snowboarder lost in Grand Teton National Park's Granite Canyon.
