{"id":8586,"date":"2013-09-06T18:01:54","date_gmt":"2013-09-07T00:01:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.yellowstonegate.com\/?p=8586"},"modified":"2013-09-06T18:03:04","modified_gmt":"2013-09-07T00:03:04","slug":"two-yellowstone-campgrounds-reopen-as-fires-smolder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yellowstonegate.com\/?p=8586","title":{"rendered":"Two Yellowstone campgrounds reopen as fires smolder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fire activity has been reported as light this week on several smoldering fires in Yellowstone National Park, and two backcountry campgrounds will be reopened after closures from earlier fire activity.<\/p>\n<p>Campsites 5L8 and 5L9 on the northeast portion of Promontory Point near Yellowstone Lake are being opened, according to information released by fire managers.<\/p>\n<p>Smoke is still visible on the Alder, Alum and Druid fires, and gusting winds have the potential to make fires more active.<\/p>\n<p>The Alum Fire is smoldering in close proximity to the Grand Loop Road between the Mud Volcano site and Fishing Bridge.
