Grand Teton National Park rangers aided an injured hiker in Avalanche Canyon Monday evening, and transported her from the area to a local medical facility. Millie Jimenez, 24-year old female from Moose, Wyo, was returning from a hike in Avalanche Canyon with a friend late Monday afternoon, October 12. Rangers in Grand Teton National Park used a helicopter to transport an injured paraglider Wednesday, and were in the process Thursday afternoon of planning a flight to aid a climber injured in a separate incident. Grand Teton National Park rangers used a helicopter to rescue a woman Saturday from Waterfalls Canyon after she fell approximately 20 feet while ascending the canyon just above Columbine Cascades. Jessica Haines, 21, of Laguna Beach, Calif., was hiking with two companions when they decided to separate, according to information released by the Grand Teton public affairs office. Grand Teton Park rangers rescue stranded climber from Middle Teton

Grand Teton National Park rangers on Tuesday rescued a stranded climber on Middle Teton, using a helicopter to help remove him from a sheer rock face where he had become unable to advance his climb. Eric Rohner, 27, of Olympia, Wash., began an attempted solo summit of the Middle Teton on Monday, but traveled off route and became "cliffed out," unable to safely advance or retreat without risking injury, according to a statement released by the Grand Teton public affairs office.
