Yellowstone to host meetings for commercial operators

Yellowstone National Park is set to host two meetings to review the park’s Commercial Use Authorization Program with current and potential new permit holders.

The program was updated in April to improve consistency with federal laws, policies and guidelines.

Updates include an open application process, new operating plans, new fee schedules, new reporting requirements, National Park Service staff evaluations, Park Service-provided training, resource impact monitoring and increased competition for CUAs if the park determines that the number of authorizations for a particular service category must be limited.

Both current permit holders and commercial operators who may be interested in conducting business inside the park are encouraged to attend one of the following meetings:

Wednesday, November 6 in Jackson, WY at the Lexington Hotel, 285 N. Cache

Thursday, November 7, in Bozeman Montana at the Comfort Inn, 1370 N. 7th

Both meetings will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
